Meaningful Experiences for Children.
Time, Support & Connection for Parents
Micro Cosmos is a welcoming space in Chania for children from birth to 12 years and their families.

Every activity is thoughtfully designed by our team of qualified professionals, combining expertise in early childhood education, psychology and child development. Each experience has a purpose: to support children’s curiosity, creativity, confidence, emotional well-being and social development.

Activities are offered in French and English, allowing children to become naturally familiar with both languages through play, stories, music, creativity and everyday interactions without formal or academic language lessons.

For families, Micro Cosmos also offers parent & child sessions, Play Therapy, psychological and parenting support, with individual support available in French, English and Spanish.

More than an activity centre, Micro Cosmos is a place where children explore and grow, parents find support, and families connect.

Alexia is the founder of Micro Cosmos and a State-Certified Early Childhood Educator, with more than 20 years of professional experience in early childhood education. French-Greek, with family roots in Chania, she trained and built much of her professional career in Paris before bringing her expertise and international perspective to Crete.

She has worked as the director of a childcare centre welcoming over 55 children, supported children with additional needs, including blind children and children on the autism spectrum, and worked closely with families through parenting support programmes.

As the co-founder of a training organisation specialising in early childhood education, Alexia continues to train and support childcare professionals, centre directors and educational teams in France. Her expertise has also led her to contribute to discussions on early childhood care in the French media.

With a French-Greek background and experience across Paris, Canada, the United States and Greece, Alexia brings to Micro Cosmos an educational approach deeply rooted in cultural openness, multilingualism and respect for each child’s individuality.

With Cretan family ties, she is now based in Chania with her own family, bringing both professional expertise and lived experience of multicultural life.
She works with children from expat and international backgrounds, supporting them through adaptation, emotional transitions and the challenges of growing up between cultures and languages.

Through Play Therapy, she offers a safe space where children can express emotions, process experiences and build confidence through play.
Lenise also provides individual child and parent sessions, helping families better understand behaviour, navigate transitions and strengthen emotional connection.
